Why Choose Petal Confetti?

One of the big questions when it comes to sorting out your biodegradable confetti is whether you should choose natural petals, or paper confetti. It’s possible to get both in biodegradable form (although with paper you do need to double, and triple check, as sometimes what you expect to receive isn’t quite what you do receive!). So which option should you go for?
Let us begin with paper as an option. It typically is a little bit cheaper (as it can be manufactured, rather than needing to be grown). Paper confetti is also easier to get a flutter with, and typically comes in a fair range of colours. However, there are many venues now that are moving away from having paper confetti. Even though it is biodegradable, it does take quite a while to actually biodegrade, and often, when it gets wet, it is quite difficult to clean up, and can become quite slippy. If you’re inside a building, this becomes less of an issue though, of course!
The beauty of natural petal confetti, which is what we pride ourselves on at Ezra’s Confetti, is the huge range of petal colours you can get! We can do almost any colour that you can imagine, so long as Mother Nature provides it for us! This is actually why we can guarantee different shades of pink, for example (lots of flowers are naturally pink, including a huge range of different rose types), but we can’t guarantee shades for other colours, like blue (as blue isn’t all that natural of a colour - very few flowers have blue petals). Natural petals also typically blow away that bit easier, and don’t get as stodgy if they do get wet. They also make a great snack for local wildlife, which is another benefit. Natural petal confetti can of course be a little bit more expensive, but that is why at Ezra’s Confetti we try to keep those prices down as low as we possibly can!
You may have also noticed that we do mixtures of paper and natural petal confetti. We never just do paper on its own - it’s an extra - but we do have a range of colours that we can include with those natural dried petal mixes. This can give you the best of both worlds - those range of sizes, shapes and fluttering, for your photos - without losing the biodegradable imperative for your confetti mix. Our key point here is to make sure that your venue is happy with biodegradable paper confetti being added. If you have already ordered your confetti with the additional biodegradable hearts, and then find out that your venue won’t allow them, then don’t worry, let us know and we can refund you right away!
Naturally, we love the natural petal option! A range of colours, made from the environment, to go back into the environment, and all lovingly gifted from Mother Nature. What's more is that our confetti comes from re-purposing flowers - including those that are destined for the bin at wholesalers and florists, even where there is nothing wrong with them. This means that our biodegradable confetti isn’t just biodegradable, but it is also reducing waste, which is so incredibly important in the world that we live in!
