Did you know, dried petal can last forever if cared for correctly!
We like to send it closer to the day despite this so you get maximum beautiful petal smell, but when it does arrive how is best to care for it? While it does come with care instructions, here we want to go into more detail and questions and reassure any worries! If you ever do have questions, please do message us! We are always more than happy to chat!
When it arrives, open up the plastic packaging around it to allow the confetti to breathe, then simply leave it in it’s paper bags until closer to the big day. 3-7 days before the big day, we recommend opening those paper bags and putting the confetti into a large tub or fabric bag and really mixing and fluffing it up, getting some air back into it and removing any petal clumps that might have formed – this will give you back it’s original volume and give you extra fluttery and floaty photographs. The confetti should always be kept somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sun, dampness can cause petals to spoil, going brown and potentially mouldy, and direct sunlight may bleach the petals.

Open up the plastic packaging around it to allow the confetti to breathe, there’s no need for fluffing up the confetti or anything as it will already be in the individual bags ready for the big day. The confetti bags can be left in the open postage bag until you put them out for guests, just be sure to keep them somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight before the big day, as dampness can cause them to spoil, going brown and potentially mouldy, and sunlight can bleach the colours.

Cone confetti care is very similar to loose, open up the postage packaging, closer to the date fluff the confetti out and store somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight. The main difference to loose is that the cones will need to be assembled – see our blog on assembling the confetti cones.

The most important thing to remember is to keep your confetti cool, dry and out of direct sunlight. A little care before the big day will keep your petals looking, smelling and performing at their very best.
