In fact, not all confetti - petal or paper - that is advertised as biodegradable, actually is biodegradable. We've done market research, discovering that very big name international suppliers sell confetti under the name biodegradable, but what they provide certainly isn't biodegradable.
This is why lots of venues have moved to a fresh petal confetti only policy. Fresh petal confetti is difficult to do - it is a very last moment way of sorting confetti, and can be expensive. However, venues cannot always trust that all products are being sold honestly.

Most places sell biodegradable petal confetti by the litre, or by weight. However, different petals take up different volumes and have different weights. We do it differently at Ezra's Confetti - by your guest numbers!
We make sure that all guests have a palmful of biodegradable confetti, ready to give you the most wonderful natural petal confetti photos. Some couples order a little less, some a little more - it often comes down to budget.
We recommend one confetti portion per guest (including children - it is great fun for them to throw)! We measure this out exactly, so you only need to buy for the number of guests that you are actually having. No overbuying, or getting less and trying to share it out.
A rough equivalence is that petal confetti for 10 people is around 1 litre worth of natural petals. Do remember that confetti will arrive to you condensed, and will need time and 'fluffing out' to bring back the volume!
